Howard Bailey Financial, Inc., a growing retirement planning firm with a focus on helping people establish financial freedom through meaning and purpose, is seeking a goal-driven, detail-oriented and creative storyteller to develop high-quality and engaging content that supports business and branding objectives.

As part of the Marketing team, the Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for content planning, design, development, deployment and analysis that strengthens the brand, grows our following, drives leads and promotes company culture. The ideal candidate will leverage various forms of media to deliver key messaging, including digital, print, social media, video and audio.

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating various types of content in both written and visual form, over multiple forms of media. They will be able to demonstrate copywriting ability as well as creative execution, and roll up their sleeves to learn new skills to deliver omni-channel content. They will be attentive to analytics to understand how performance of the content impacts the goal.

The Marketing Content Manager will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will work in close collaboration with a highly productive and collaborative team, including marketing leads, copywriters, events director, videographer and a handful of third-party partners who support our marketing initiatives. They will be curious, open to learning, and receptive to constructive feedback to capitalize on optimization opportunities. They will be passionate about helping others – both internally while working within a cross-functional team, as well as externally, driven by our values of helping aspiring retirees through one of their biggest life stages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Note: Other relevant duties may be assigned.)

  • Leverage print material, website properties, email, social media, search profiles, video, audio and slide shows to promote the brand, its services, company culture, and other business and branding initiatives.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and co-manage master marketing calendar and content scheduling platforms.
  • Develop graphics that support branding and content strategies on website, social media and video properties, including website banners, Facebook and Instagram posts, and YouTube thumbnails.
  • Develop long- and short-form copy including headlines, email, social media captions, news articles, press releases and slide show presentations.
  • Manage copy library to ensure brand voice and consistent execution across multiple marketing channels.
  • Ensure that the website and other digital properties are fully optimized, organized, easy to navigate, and drive traffic to desired location quickly and efficiently.
  • Protect the integrity of the brand wherever and however it appears, in print or digital, through defined brand standards.
  • Oversee the execution and approval of co-branded initiatives in partnership with Notre Dame Athletics.
  • Manage the brand’s location profiles on Google Business and other location-based databases.
  • Oversee the organization and execution of photography assets, including every-other-year photo shoots.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in producing creative and copy content for various mediums and channels, including both print and digital.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in marketing strategies that nurture leads, build audiences and drive sales.
  • Strong copywriting and creative execution skills that adhere to brand standards.
  • Ability to develop strong messaging with and motivating calls to action.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and creative- and content-based platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Grammarly, etc.)
  • Ability to work guided by deadline, and oftentimes working on several projects in tandem.
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization and follow-through skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Technology savvy with knowledge of content creation platforms, CRM, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
